There’s no doubt about it. One of Hollywood’s most beloved couples is preparing to say “I do.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani applied for their marriage license on June 29. According to official documents obtained by E! News, the license was requested in Johnston, Okla. While exact details about the couple’s upcoming wedding remain top secret, the marriage license is good for 10 days after being issued.

Is anyone else thinking a Fourth of July weekend wedding is in our future?

In recent weeks, both Blake and Gwen have dropped hints that wedding plans were underway. During a recent interview with USA Today, the country singer gave fans a glimpse into preparations.

“I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great,” Blake told the publication. “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful…of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.'”

Back in October 2020, The Voice coaches confirmed on Instagram that they were engaged after nearly five years of dating. Since then, the couple has kept fans guessing as to when they will become husband and wife.

“I think that the guest list will not have a lot of musicians,” Gwen told Late Night host Seth Meyers. “It’s gonna be, like, my mom and my dad and just literally going to be just family, and we are looking forward to that.”

This wasn’t the only new look Yvonne debuted recently.

On June 21, the actress unveiled her new cropped hairstyle that was more than suitable for summer. “Short hair don’t care,” she captioned the ‘gram. Her figure was not visible in the photo, likely due to the probability that she was already showing.

“I dated Ryan before he got married,” Sonja replied. This led a stunned Andy to confirm, “You dated Ryan?”

She explained, “We went to [the Human Rights Campaign] event. It was a humanity event, so I felt I needed to kiss him to be a humane person.”

When Andy asked where they went after the party, the reality TV mainstay replied, “Actually, he went this way, and I went that way. It’s fine.”

However, when the host concluded that they only kissed, Sonja corrected him by sharing, “We did a few things else, I mean afterwards—we went on other dates.” She then quipped, “He was a newbie—he didn’t know how dangerous it was.”

When the 2020 Tokyo Olympics were postponed, Carli Lloyd found herself with some extra time to heal—not only from a knee injury she’d suffered that year but also from a decade-long rift she’d had with her family.

“I don’t know what would’ve happened if the Olympics actually went on in 2020,” the two-time World Cup champion told Today. “Would they have been a part of it? Would I have rekindled the relationship with them? I don’t know. I’m just happy now that we are in the place that we are, and everybody feels good about it.”

As Lloyd shared in her 2016 book, When Nobody Was Watching: My Hard-Fought Journey to the Top of the Soccer World, she had been estranged from her family for about 12 years. Lloyd wrote her parents had “a difficult time letting go” when she became a professional soccer player and started making her own decisions about her career. This included her training with former personal coach James Galanis, who she said her parents felt was “coming between” them, and spending time away from home on breaks. She said her father threw her out of the house ahead of the 2008 Olympics and that she was not invited to her sister’s wedding.

2021 Summer Olympics Status Check

According to Today, Lloyd cut ties with Galanis last year and has since taken steps to build up that bond with her family. 

“I was talking to my sister since 2016 since my book had come out, so we had a relationship,” the star athlete told the news organization. “I think I just got to a point where you go for so long with not talking, and you kind of are like a ‘Why are we doing this?’ type of thing. I think it was many different factors that contributed to that. So she kind of helped break the ice a little bit and sort of be that buffer to my parents and my brother.”

Lloyd’s parents and brother came to her house for the first time last year, Today reported, and they’ve continued to spend holidays and birthdays together.

Now, she’s preparing for the Tokyo Games once again, being named to U.S. Olympic women’s soccer team last week. Unfortunately, her family won’t be able to be there due to restrictions that prohibit overseas spectators from attending. So, they’ll be watching from home as Lloyd strives to add to her two gold medal count. 

“I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life, and it’s also the happiest I’ve ever felt going into a major tournament,” she told Today. “I’ve felt good and happy going into other tournaments, but this one just feels different.”

As Swifties know all too well by now, the superstar singer is set to drop the updated version of her beloved record in November. But as fans eagerly await the album’s release, Sheeran—who collaborated Swift on the 2012 Red track “Everything Has Changed”—just gave everyone another reason to celebrate.

During a June 27 interview on U.K. radio show The Official Big Top 40, Sheeran was asked when he’ll re-record his duet with Swift for Red (Taylor’s Version). His response? “I’ve already done it,” he confirmed with a smile. “I’ve already recorded it.”

Sheeran, who also joined Swift on The Red Tour, went on to tease, “Taylor’s got a few surprises in store for you, I’ll say that.” In fact, fans on social media are pointing out that Sheeran and Swift wrote two songs together for Red, one of which didn’t make the album. So, it’s possible the unreleased track will make this new version of the album, given that it’s set to feature 30 songs.

Over time, Swift noted, a part of her was healed from the heartbreak. “Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over,” she continued. “Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing. This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red.”

The 31-year-old singer—whose battle over the rights to her album masters inspired her re-recordings—also teased one of the tracks will be “ten minutes long,” an apparent reference to the unreleased version of her hit song “All Too Well.”

“I think the pain was a little too overwhelming,” he told Vanity Fair in July 2020.”I think the mind is very powerful, and subconsciously, or unconsciously, it can protect you. That’s what it did when she passed. I just pushed it aside and didn’t want to deal with it.”

“I’ve learned so much and met so many incredible people,” she continued. “I especially love meeting young fans who weren’t even alive when the movies were out. I just think, ‘Wow! This is going to keep going in that generational kind of way.'”
 
And although it’s been quite a while since the students of Hogwarts got together for an action-packed adventure, Bonnie also revealed that the cast has kept in touch, thanks to a special group chat.

“The typical thing where we check in on one another to see what we’ve been up to,” she shared. “We always keep up with our milestones, like, you know, when people celebrate 10 years after they’ve graduated. In theory, now, it’s been 11 years. Last summer, we were all celebrating our 10-year anniversary of graduating from Hogwarts. Hopefully, we’ll be able to have a delayed graduation celebration soon outside of our chat.”
