How Gwen Stefani's Wedding Dresses Honored Blake Shelton and Her 3 Kids

How Gwen Stefani's Wedding Dresses Honored Blake Shelton and Her 3 Kids

  • Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot in Oklahoma on July 3, and the bride gave a subtle nod to her new husband and her three sons with her custom Vera Wang wedding dresses.
  • Did you catch these cool details in Gwen Stefani‘s wedding dresses?

The No Doubt star wed Blake Shelton at the country singer’s ranch in Oklahoma on July 3 and celebrated their big day with not one but two gorgeous gowns. For the ceremony, which was officiated by their fellow star on The Voice Carson Daly, Stefani donned a custom Vera Wang Haute dress.

“She chose a custom lily white silk georgette and hand tumbled tulle high low gown,” Vera Wang shared on Instagram, “with a plunging neckline and a cut away back.”

The three-time Grammy winner swept her hair back into a chic and simple updo and donned a lily white chapel veil that included a special tribute to Shelton and her sons Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7. The names of the groom, the bride and her children were hand embroidered into the veil and were flanked by two white roses at the hem.

After Stefani and Shelton said “I do,” she changed into her second Vera Wang dress, which also featured a nod to her kids and new husband.

“For the reception she chose a custom lily white Italian silk crepe and hand tumbled tulle strapless mini dress with hand pieced silk, crystal and sequin embroidered foliage delicately trickling from the waist down the skirt,” the designer wrote in a separate post. “The embroidery is highlighted by a pair of hand sewn love birds symbolizing the couple. They are joined by 3 baby love birds representing Gwen’s children.”

Stefani accessorized her look with white Le Silla boots and a veil featuring a bow and floral design. As she put it, “You need a party dress when u get to marry @blakeshelton.”

Stefani shares her three kids with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. In a February interview with KFROG’s The Ride With Kimo & Heather, Shelton spoke about his bond with her sons and his role as a stepdad.

“I take it very, very serious, you know?” he said. “But I also have a blast with it. I’m not gonna lie. I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am. Especially, you know, now that we’re five years into this thing, I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”

Gwen Stefani Marries Blake Shelton During Intimate Wedding Ceremony

Gwen Stefani Marries Blake Shelton During Intimate Wedding Ceremony

  • Less than a year after getting engaged, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially husband and wife. The couple said “I do” during a ceremony in Oklahoma on July 3.

From The Voice coaches to husband and wife!

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are married, multiple outlets report. The couple, who got engaged in late 2020, wed in an intimate ceremony on the “Honey Bee” artist’s Oklahoma ranch while surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 3.

This news comes shortly after Stefani, who shares three kids with ex Gavin Rossdale, sparked marriage rumors for wearing what appeared to be a wedding band next to her engagement ring while out in Los Angeles with Shelton on June 12.

As fans may recall, Stefani, 51, and Shelton, 44, announced their engagement in October, with the “Cool” singer showing off her diamond sparkler on Instagram. “@blakeshelton yes please!” she captioned the photo, while the “God’s Country” artist wrote on his social media page, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”

It’s been nearly six years since the “Happy Anywhere” singers first started dating after meeting on The Voice. At the time, Stefani was going through her split from husband Rossdale while Shelton was ending his marriage to Miranda Lambert

Indeed, it was heartbreak that first bonded the pair. After sharing news of his divorce, “I won’t forget that day,” Shelton told Billboard in 2016. “I looked over at Gwen—who I didn’t really know—and she had these huge tears in her eyes. I thought, ‘Wow, she feels super bad for me!'”

“That’s kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day,” he told the outlet. “It went from that, to checking in on each other once a week through email—’This shit happened to me, what happened to you?’—to maybe three times a week, then every day, to ‘Hey, here’s my phone number if you ever want to text.’ Next thing I know, I wake up and she’s all I care about, and I’m wondering if she feels the same about me.”

Needless to say, she most definitely feels the same way. “Blake is the greatest guy,” she told Stellar magazine in March. “I look back over the past few years and look at pictures of when I first started kissing Blake, and I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life in those photos.”

    Todd Williamson/E! Entertainment

Throughout the year, the duo have teased their upcoming wedding plans, with Shelton admitted he wasn’t helpful in the planning process—”she knows that it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control”—and Stefani getting a sweet escape at her bridal shower. As she joked on Instagram in early June, “I got kidnapped by my family to celebrate. I’m getting married!”

No doubt, this wedding was a night to remember.

Page Six was first to report the marriage news.

  • Watch: Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s Relationship Timeline

There’s no doubt about it. One of Hollywood’s most beloved couples is preparing to say “I do.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani applied for their marriage license on June 29. According to official documents obtained by E! News, the license was requested in Johnston, Okla. While exact details about the couple’s upcoming wedding remain top secret, the marriage license is good for 10 days after being issued.

Is anyone else thinking a Fourth of July weekend wedding is in our future?

In recent weeks, both Blake and Gwen have dropped hints that wedding plans were underway. During a recent interview with USA Today, the country singer gave fans a glimpse into preparations.

“I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great,” Blake told the publication. “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful…of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.'”

The “Minimum Wage” singer added, “I think she’s having a blast doing it. I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it.”

Back in October 2020, The Voice coaches confirmed on Instagram that they were engaged after nearly five years of dating. Since then, the couple has kept fans guessing as to when they will become husband and wife.

“I think that the guest list will not have a lot of musicians,” Gwen told Late Night host Seth Meyers. “It’s gonna be, like, my mom and my dad and just literally going to be just family, and we are looking forward to that.”

But what about other coaches from The Voice like Adam Levine?

“I definitely would love to have Adam sing at our wedding, but you know, the thing is, is that I feel like we’re not gonna have a wedding band,” Gwen shared. “I feel like we’re not. I feel like we’re just gonna go with a playlist.”

The lead singer of No Doubt added, “We’re keeping it very simple—really simple. We’re going to make it really fun, but it’s not going to be a big, like—you know, it’s not like the queen and king are getting married or something.”

Bachelorette Katie Thurston Defends Letting Blake Moynes Crash Her Season After They Flirted in the DMs

Bachelorette Katie Thurston Defends Letting Blake Moynes Crash Her Season After They Flirted in the DMs

  • Katie Thurston surprised The Bachelorette viewers by not only having chatted pre-show with Bachelor Nation's Blake Moynes, but then allowing him to compete for her roses.
  • Watch: Nick Viall’s Warning to “Bachelorette” Katie Thurston

The latest episode of The Bachelorette introduced a new contestant who is a familiar face for Bachelor Nation—and, surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Katie Thurston has interacted with him, either.

Most of the drama throughout the Monday, June 28 episode focused on lingering tension involving Thomas, especially with Tre telling Katie that the unpopular contestant admitted he wanted to be the Bachelor. Thomas appeared to have talked Katie into keeping him on the show, but she ultimately cut him in dramatic fashion when she called his name at the rose ceremony before chastising him as “selfish, unkind and a liar,” and then letting him go. Ouch.

Amid all that, she also learned that a guy from Tayshia Adams‘ past was interested in joining the season midway through, and viewers eventually found out it was Blake Moynes. As fans recall, he competed for both Tayshia and Clare Crawley‘s affections last year on The Bachelorette, ultimately making it to Tayshia’s final eight guys.

When he finally surprised Katie by showing up, he apologized for throwing a “wrench” into her plans but explained he “knew this was the only way” he’d get to meet her.

“I’ve been pretty vocal, I think, from the beginning, as soon as you stepped out of that limo, about what I thought about you,” Blake told her, referencing her time on Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor. “You intrigued me, and you continued to, all through everything that you did on that season. Your openness, you’re bold, you’re confident, but you have this playfulness to you, and a humor that I can really relate to, for sure.”

Katie confirmed during her confessional that there was a preexisting connection between the two of them, which is reminiscent of Blake also having sent DMs to Clare before he began filming her season. Additionally, Katie expressed she was having trouble figuring out what to do, given that she knew the other guys would be unhappy to see Blake show up, not to mention this would be the third Bachelorette who Blake has wooed.

“I’m, like, so flustered right now,” Katie told the camera. “I, obviously, have seen Blake on Tayshia’s season. In fact, Blake and I have talked through the DMs. Blake reached out to commend me for my bold personality. And, I mean, he’s a very handsome guy.”

Ultimately, she told Blake she would let him know at a later time whether he’d be allowed to participate in the season. But after disposing of Thomas, the star told the camera about Blake, “My gut’s telling me, ‘Explore this,’ and I have to follow my heart.”

After surprising Blake at his room, Katie told him, “For me, I have to really follow my gut and everything, and given where things are at and how I’m feeling, if you wanna stay, I’d like you to join and see if this becomes something.”

Blake, of course, was delighted, and he learned he would be moving into the house the following day. Based on previews for next week’s episode, Blake is not going to be a welcome presence among the other guys.

For her part, Katie has yet to post about Blake on social media since the episode aired on the East Coast. However, Blake shared plenty of his own thoughts to Twitter as the action played out.

    ABC/Craig Sjodin

“F–k I feel pressure,” he tweeted just after the start of the episode. Ivan Hall, a fellow standout from Tayshia’s season, replied, “Built for this [flexing emoji],” leading Blake to respond with a fist-bump emoji.

As to be expected, viewers posted plenty of quips to social media about Blake returning to the show. One fan tweeted, “So Blake has been ready to marry 3 women since the start of the pandemic and I haven’t even committed to going back to the office yet.”

Another individual posted, “When the guys think Thomas is their problem and then Blake Moynes walks in,” adding a meme of a confused child.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Blake Lively Is All of Us Watching Backstreet Boys Learn NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” Dance

Blake Lively Is All of Us Watching Backstreet Boys Learn NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” Dance

  • Blake Lively had the most relatable reaction to watching members from Backstreet Boys and NSYNC come together for a little choreography fun. See what she said about the epic crossover.
  • Watch: AJ McLean Wants Justin Timberlake to Consider BSB/NSYNC Reunion

Members of Backstreet Boys learning the moves to NSYNC‘s “Bye Bye Bye?” No, you are absolutely not dreaming of the year 2000—just ask mega-fan Blake Lively.

The Green Lantern actress shared her reaction to watching Backstreet Boys members AJ McLean and Nick Carter learn the infamous “Bye Bye Bye” choreography (we’re swooping our hand in that classic motion as we speak) from NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. Lance first set the internet ablaze by sharing the crossover footage to his Instagram just a few days back.

Blake shared every fan’s sentiment of finally not having to choose between the two boy bands by posting to her Instagram Story. “True story: I just watched this until Instagram finally cut me off by pausing the video,” she wrote. “Because even they knew it was too much for me to handle in one sitting…”

She also joked that husband Ryan Reynolds is the one to blame, adding, “Also, a true story. My husband sent this to me. He understands the significance. God bless him.”

    Secrets About the Backstreet Boys

The buzzworthy footage came from the pop stars’ rehearsal as the collab group “Back-Sync.” In fact, the stars completed a sold-out debut performance at The Grove in Los Angeles, Calif. late last week. The four members united for Bingo Under the Stars, an evening in celebration of Pride and benefitting the Trevor Project and L.A. Pride.

    Blake Lively Instagram

Not only do Blake and Ryan (and every fan ever) understand the significance of the two worlds finally coming together to make boy band-hysteria magic—but so do the members, believe it or not.

“This has been a long time coming,” AJ shared with Variety during rehearsals. “Everybody’s wanted us to do something together and now we get to come together for an amazing cause.”

“It’s interesting to have the four of us knuckleheads do something together, which you’ve never seen before,” Joey added. “BSB fans are very loyal, so we’re going, ‘We get it—certain people liked one band or the other back in the day, but now it’s okay to like both.'”

Nick also cracked the joke that if we were in the early 2000s, this probably wouldn’t be a thing. “Twenty years ago? Hell no!” he quipped. “I’m kidding, because I still don’t understand why we didn’t get an opportunity to do more things together, but we learned that it was managers and stuff happening behind-the-scenes that prevented it. Better late than never, right?”

“It just fits,” AJ added. “Not that that the five of us [Backstreet Boys] don’t work because we obviously do, but it’s a different feeling. It’s like when you’ve been in the same relationship for a long time, take a break, meet somebody new and it’s fresh and exciting!”

As fresh and exciting as this is, we need a second to drum up some “Back-Sync” gear.

Blake Lively paid tribute to her late dad on Father’s Day with a touching photo of him getting cuddly with her husband, Ryan Reynolds

On Sunday, June 20, the 33-year-old A Simple Favor star shared a pic to Instagram that showed father Ernie Lively with a big smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around the Deadpool actor

“My guys,” she simply captioned it, adding brown heart emojis. Ryan also shared the image to his Instagram Story and wrote, “Those paws.”

Ernie, an actor known for roles in such projects as The Dukes of Hazzard and for starring opposite Blake in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, died on June 3 at age 74 from cardiac complications.

Among those sending support in the comments was Blake’s sister Robyn Lively, who wrote, “Siiissss,” along with heart, heartbroken and praise-hands emojis.

Also commenting was Traveling Pants co-star Amber Tamblyn, who shared, “I love your papa so much. Ryan’s okay.”

On Thursday, June 10, Blake posted a tender photo to her Instagram Story of herself resting her head on her dad’s shoulder. At the time, she captioned it simply with a brown heart emoji.

For his part, Ryan discussed fatherhood earlier this month when he explained how the three children he shares with Blake—James, 6, Inez, 4, and Betty, 20 months—have helped him to feel more comfortable with publicly discussing his mental health struggles.

“Part of it is that I have three daughters at home, and part of my job as a parent is to model behaviors and model what it’s like to be sad and model what it’s like to be anxious, or angry,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “That there’s space for all these things.”

Gwen Stefani’s Diamond Band Sparks Blake Shelton Wedding Speculation

Gwen Stefani’s Diamond Band Sparks Blake Shelton Wedding Speculation

  • This s–t is bananas! Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton might have gotten married in secret, after she was spotted with a new diamond band on her ring finger over the weekend.
  • Are Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani already Mr. and Mrs.?

The “Rich Girl” icon is turning heads after she debuted what appears to be an extravagant wedding band on that finger, alongside her engagement ring from her Voice co-star.

On Saturday, June 12, Gwen was photographed with her new bling during an outing with Blake and her 7-year-old son, Apollo, in Santa Monica, Calif. The couple was matching in jeans, baggy navy shirts and baseball caps for their family time. Her trucker cap radiated positivity with a joyful “somewhere over the rainbow” graphic.

They reportedly just returned from his family ranch in Oklahoma, per Page Six. Notably, that’s also where Gwen, 51, and Blake, 44, got engaged last October.

Her new band appears to feature at least four diamonds, which pair perfectly with her massive square diamond engagement ring (that alone is estimated to humbly measure between six and eight carats).

Three days ago, wedding speculation was further fueled by Gwen’s not-so-cryptic Instagram post. She shared a pic of herself sipping a glass of wine and captioned it, “SHE’S GETTING MARRIIIEEEED.”

The snapshot was from her surprise bridal shower, as E! News reported last week. “I got kidnapped by my family to celebrate…I’m getting married!” she wrote on social media, adding that she was “feeling loved, feeling blessed” by her friends and family before she tied the knot.

At the time, Heidi Klum and Vanessa Bryant sent their love on Instagram, but Gwen hasn’t posted to the feed since.

About three weeks ago, Blake teased their wedding plans during an interview with USA Today, sharing, “I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great.”

He went on, “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful … of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.'”

The country star said his bride was “having a blast” planning their special day.

Though details haven’t been revealed about the big day (if it has, in fact, already happened), Blake told Jimmy Fallon last month that their first dance song would be “If You Leave” from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack. As he explained, “I swear, I have it right here. We talked about this, we both love the song, we’re both fans of the ’80s, why not?”

The eight-time Grammy nominee previously revealed he wanted to get married this summer.
