  • Watch: Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s Relationship Timeline

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are happy anywhere, especially now in the throes of newlywed bliss.

The superstar couple, who first met on the set of The Voice in 2014, tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend in an intimate ceremony that came eight months after they got engaged. Just when Stefani started to wonder when the big question was coming, the “God’s Country” singer got down on one knee and proposed while the “Cool” artist was visiting his Oklahoma ranch.

“Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of their engagement celebration. “I heard a YES!” Stefani answered, “@blakeshelton yes please!”

Though Stefani has said she didn’t see the moment coming, the milestone was hardly shocking to fans, considering how much the couple has gushed about each other throughout their relationship. In fact, Stefani, who shares three kids with ex Gavin Rossdale, recently gave a heartwarming shout-out to Shelton in celebration of Father’s Day. “happy father’s day to the most generous patient loving funny guy i know,” she wrote in a June 20 Instagram post alongside photos of Shelton and her sons Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7, “we love u so much @blakeshelton gx.”

And if you think that’s sweet, there’s no doubt you’ll love the rest of Stefani and Shelton’s quotes about each other that we rounded up below!

    Let the Rumors Begin

“I think he’s hot, don’t you? But to be super honest, it is kind of crazy we both went through the same thing at the same time. There’s been so many people that I’ve gotten so much comfort from. Just people coming to me and telling me their story. Not confiding, but sharing, which has just helped me see things from a different perspective and move forward.” —Gwen to Ryan Seacrest in November 2015

    Look of Love

“How can I not be [in love]? She is the greatest. She is the greatest.” —Blake on Today in March 2018.

    “Saved My Life”

“When you have a broken heart—at least, when I do—you got to get it out of your system. You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell…Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician?” —Blake to Billboard in July 2016

    Country Livin’

“I grew up in Orange County, so I don’t know if you’ve been down there, but it’s nothing like the middle of America and our nature was the beach. So to be able to be in Oklahoma and be able to experience a ranch kind of vibe is just something I never ever had, so it’s just been really, it’s been great, amazing.” —Gwen on Jimmy Kimmel Live in August 2020

    Wedding Bells

“You know, what? I love weddings. The kids love him. We love him. Everybody loves him. He is lovable! I think about it all the time.” —Gwen to Ellen DeGeneres when discussing marrying Blake

    Sexiest Man Alive

“He doesn’t even like to do a photo shoot. You can never convince him to do it. So he just called me like, ‘They want me to do this.’ And I was like, ‘You should totally do it! You’re so sexy!'” —Gwen’s reaction to Blake being named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive

    Fierce Fashion

“[My style is] more feminine than ever before. It’s probably because I’m super in love and have a really manly man. I enjoy letting that part of me come out now because when I was in No Doubt, I never thought of myself as sexy. Even in my 30s, I was a tomboy. I hardly ever carried a purse.” —Gwen to InStyle in July 2018

    Biggest Fans

“Setting here watching @gwenstefani rehearsals it continues to shock me the amount of GIANT hits this girl has written… I highly recommend y’all catch her Vegas show if you can get tickets!!!” —Blake on Twitter in June 2018

    Hot Commodity

“He’s so good at the show, I mean, he’s just so magical. Blake is literally a unicorn. Like anywhere he goes, people are just attracted to him, and he’s such an incredible talent.” —Gwen on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live in September 2019

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Break Their Silence After TLC Cancels Counting On

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Break Their Silence After TLC Cancels Counting On

  • "We look forward to all the new adventures and endeavors that may come our way," the couple wrote on behalf of the Duggar family on Saturday, July 3. Read their full statement below.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are ready to speak out.

Less than a week after TLC canceled Counting On following 11 seasons, the couple released a statement on behalf of the Duggar family on Saturday, July 3, to address the news.

“It is hard to believe that more than 17 years have passed since we were first contacted by a production company wanting to do a one-hour documentary about the logistics of raising 14 children,” the family’s statement began. “Our family has grown (and grown up!) before our eyes and on national television, and the journey has been miraculous—following God is an exciting adventure!”

“Since we began filming so long ago, we’ve had the amazing honor to share our lives, our faith, and our story with you—including some of the most difficult and painful moments our family has ever faced,” their statement read.

The family didn’t dive into detail regarding some of their more “difficult and painful moments.” On April 29, Josh Duggar was arrested in Arkansas and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography. Following his charges, he pled not guilty.

The Duggars’ statement continued, “We are full of deep gratitude for the love shown to us and the prayers of so many who have sustained us both now and through the years.”

Despite their show’s cancellation, it seems Jim Bob and Michelle are looking on the bright side of things.

As they put it, “We look forward to all the new adventures and endeavors that may come our way, and with so many grown children and wonderful grandchildren, we know our love will only continue to multiply!”

Additionally, the family thanked the network’s film crew and many others who helped create their reality TV series.

“The wonderful experiences that filming has provided us will be treasured always,” they concluded, “and we look forward to discovering what’s next for our family and sharing more with you along the way!”

On Tuesday, June 29, TLC announced its decision to end the family’s show.

“TLC will not be producing additional seasons of Counting On,” the network told E! News in a statement. “TLC feels it is important to give the Duggar family the opportunity to address their situation privately.”

Shortly after the news, Jeremy Vuolo, who is married to Jinger Duggar and appeared on Counting On, supported the move on Instagram.

“We are grateful for TLC giving us the opportunity to be on their network over the years and their kindness towards the Vuolo family,” he shared at the time. “It’s been a remarkable journey that has opened doors to traveling and experiencing the world in a way that we wouldn’t have imagined possible.”

He added, “We wholeheartedly agree with TLC’s decision not to renew Counting On and are excited for the next chapter in our lives.”

As fans of the series will know, Counting On debuted in 2015 as a spin-off to 19 Kids and Counting.

However, the family’s original series was canceled that same year after a resurfaced police report from 2006 stated Josh was accused of molesting five underage girls as a teen. Following the allegations, his sisters, Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar, came forward as victims.

Although Josh was never charged at the time, he did publicly apologize to “those affected by my actions.”

He is currently awaiting trial, which scheduled for Tuesday, July 6.

“We intend to defend this case aggressively and thoroughly,” Josh’s attorneys said in a statement to E! News in May. “In this country, no one can stop prosecutors from charging a crime. But when you’re accused, you can fight back in the courtroom—and that is exactly what Josh intends to do.”

If Josh is found guilty of the charges, he could face up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $250,000 for each count.

  • Watch: Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s Relationship Timeline

There’s no doubt about it. One of Hollywood’s most beloved couples is preparing to say “I do.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani applied for their marriage license on June 29. According to official documents obtained by E! News, the license was requested in Johnston, Okla. While exact details about the couple’s upcoming wedding remain top secret, the marriage license is good for 10 days after being issued.

Is anyone else thinking a Fourth of July weekend wedding is in our future?

In recent weeks, both Blake and Gwen have dropped hints that wedding plans were underway. During a recent interview with USA Today, the country singer gave fans a glimpse into preparations.

“I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great,” Blake told the publication. “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful…of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.'”

The “Minimum Wage” singer added, “I think she’s having a blast doing it. I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it.”

Back in October 2020, The Voice coaches confirmed on Instagram that they were engaged after nearly five years of dating. Since then, the couple has kept fans guessing as to when they will become husband and wife.

“I think that the guest list will not have a lot of musicians,” Gwen told Late Night host Seth Meyers. “It’s gonna be, like, my mom and my dad and just literally going to be just family, and we are looking forward to that.”

But what about other coaches from The Voice like Adam Levine?

“I definitely would love to have Adam sing at our wedding, but you know, the thing is, is that I feel like we’re not gonna have a wedding band,” Gwen shared. “I feel like we’re not. I feel like we’re just gonna go with a playlist.”

The lead singer of No Doubt added, “We’re keeping it very simple—really simple. We’re going to make it really fun, but it’s not going to be a big, like—you know, it’s not like the queen and king are getting married or something.”

Sutton and Richard Consider Their "Dream" Future in Bold Type Series Finale Sneak Peek

Sutton and Richard Consider Their "Dream" Future in Bold Type Series Finale Sneak Peek

  • Sutton and Richard come to terms with their relationship in an exclusive clip from the series finale of The Bold Type, airing Wednesday, June 30 at 10 p.m. on Freeform.
  • Watch: “The Bold Type” Series Finale Sneak Peek

Raise your hand if you still haven’t forgiven The Bold Type for the demise of Sutton (Meghann Fahy) and Richard (Sam Page).

As scandalous as the beginning of their relationship was, they were a delightful pair, all the way up until their blissful marriage was torn apart by a disagreement over having kids. Now, they’re back to sleeping together a few final times as they say their goodbyes…if it’s really goodbye.

E! News has an exclusive sneak peek at this week’s series finale, in which Sutton and Richard go out to a bar in the midst of their little game of pretend, and they begin to talk about what they’re even doing right now. It’s enough to make us wonder if there’s a chance for this couple to work out in the end.

“I kinda feel like we’re living in a dream,” she tells him. “Walking around pretending like nothing is different. But it is. I literally have our divorce papers in my bag right now, and you’re gonna adopt a baby! What are we doing?”

All Richard says is “I don’t know,” and asks if they can keep living in this dream.

Sutton says she wants to, and we want to keep living in this world where Sutton and Richard are happy! We’d rather they never speak again than watch Sutton suddenly decide she’ll have kids just to get Richard back, but we’d also be absolutely thrilled if this pair could work something out before this show says goodbye for good. So no pressure, Bold Type writers!

Of course, Sutton’s not the only member of the trio facing some major life moments in the series finale. Jane (Katie Stevens) has been offered a huge promotion (that she doesn’t quite deserve if you ask us, but you didn’t) to Editor-in-Chief as Jacqueline (Melora Hardin) retires, and Kat (Aisha Dee) is on the verge of a huge success with her Don’t Turn Away project.

She also just reunited with Adena (Nikohl Boosheri), and it feels like everyone’s on their way to a nice pleasant ending, assuming that somehow nothing major happens at all in the final hour. We’ll all find out Wednesday at 10 p.m. on Freeform.

Can’t get enough of Sex/Life? Well, did you know co-stars Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos are actually dating in real life?

It’s true! The pair fell in love after meeting on the set of Netflix’s new hit show. “It was great casting,” the 41-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ll put it that way.”

In the series, Shahi plays Billie, a woman who’s in a love triangle with her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) and ex-boyfriend Brad (Demos). And it looks like she hit it off with Demos right from the get-go.

“I said, ‘Well, that’s a tall drink of water,'” Shahi recalled to People. “When I first met Adam, I was really blown away with him. We met in the makeup trailer and we just got on instantly. We had the exact same taste in music. We had the same taste in whiskey and tequilas, and I was really blown away by him just as a person and all I knew was that I wanted more.”

That attraction grew as they began to work together. “And then I got an opportunity to act with him, and I will say, sitting across the other side of the camera with him was just a privilege,” she continued. “You’re only as good as your scene partner. He’s amazing in the show.”

Ever since then, the two have continued to document their love on social media. From posting pictures of their New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day celebrations to sharing snapshots of themselves going to apple orchards and out to dinner, the duo has given glimpses into their relationship.

    Sarah Shahi, Adam DemosNETFLIX

“Not exactly sure how two people on opposite sides of the world could have more in common, were meant to meet, were meant to be together,” Shahi wrote on Instagram for Demos’ birthday in May. “But I do know I met my soulmate. I do know I found my forever. I do know I’ve never loved deeper, harder, more ferociously. I do know I’m overly grateful for him. I do know I’ve loved him for a thousand lifetimes before and will love him for a thousand lifetimes more.”

They aren’t the only castmates to develop an off-screen romance. To see more co-stars who dated at one point, scroll on.

    Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer

The one where fans had no idea their favorite Friends couple actually had feelings for each other.

During the iconic NBC series’ HBO Max reunion special, Aniston and Schwimmer admitted they nursed crushes on each other during the first season.

As Schwimmer explained, “Yeah, the first season we—I had a major crush on Jen.” Aniston countered, “It was reciprocated.”

So why didn’t Ross and Rachel’s real-life counterparts ever officially get together?

“At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other,” Schwimmer explained, “but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that. But we both—”

Matt LeBlanc then interrupted, saying, “Bulls–t. I’m kidding,” going on to suggest that the co-stars maybe did show a little PDA on set.

“Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,'” Aniston confessed. “And sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”

But the co-stars did take advantage of their time on-set together, with Schwimmer saying, “I thought back on the very first year or two, you know, when we had breaks from rehearsal, like, there were moments where we would cuddle on the couch.” Aniston added, “Or we would spoon and fall asleep on the couch.”

Finally, Schwimmer admitted, “I’m thinking, how did not everyone know we were crushing on each other?”

    Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki

The Big Bang Theory stars dropped a big bomb in 2010 when it was reported they had dated for two years, with Cuoco revealing details about their romance only after they split.

“It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it,” Cuoco said of her relationship with Galecki in an interview with CBS Watch! magazine. “It was a wonderful relationship, but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together.”

Though their offscreen flame flickered out, their characters, Penny and Leonard, continued to date throughout the remainder of the CBS hit sitcom’s run. But playing boyfriend/girlfriend was never an issue for the former couple.

“When you’re dealing with two professionals who have been working since they were both four—and who kept their lives extremely private—we didn’t want anything other than that,” she explained, going on to reveal their desire for privacy may have inadvertently caused their breakup.

“We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn’t want anything to ruin that. But that also made it sad, too,” Cuoco shared. “That’s not the kind of relationship I want—I don’t want to be hiding.”

    Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Lark Voorhies

If you thought the Saved By the Bell characters were romantically cliquish on-screen, it was nothing compared to all of the relationship drama going on behind-the-scenes.

“All of us dated at one point or another—it was incestuous!” Gosselaar told People in 2009. “Sometimes the girls would gang up on the guys. Tiffani and Elizabeth would hate me, and then they’d hate Lark because Lark was talking to me, and Mario was supposed to side with someone. All that stuff you did in high school, like, ‘How could you talk to him?'”

But SBTB‘s IRL couple that dated for the longest was Gosselaar and Voorhies, who were together for three years during the show’s later run.

    Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen

While playing one of TV’s most beloved pairings Zack and Kelly, the ’90s TV icons “liked each other a lot,” Ed Alonzo (aka Max from The Max) once dished to Entertainment Tonight of Gosselaar and Thiessen’s flirtations.

“It was very cute,” Alonzo shared. “It was hand-holding and looking over.”

In an interview with People, Thiessen revealed the first time she drank alcohol she was with Gosselaar, saying, “Mark-Paul and I got to go to Paris [for a press tour]. We ate crepes, and my first sip of alcohol was with him. It felt at times like we were Barbie and Ken.” Or, perhaps, Zack and Kelly?

    Mark Paul-Gosselaar and Elizabeth Berkley

Yep, Zack Morris dated all three of Saved By the Bell‘s leading ladies, admitting during a 2019 appearance on Anna Faris Unqualified podcast that he briefly wooed Berkley.

“You’re in an environment—you know how it is,” he explained. “When you’re working on a set, and we were young, there’s no one around, really. I mean, you work and live in a bubble.”

No wonder Zack had to call so many time outs.

    Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen

While Lopez’s A.C. and Berkeley’s Jessie were OTP on Saved By the Bell, Lopez revealed he romanced Thiessen in his memoir, Just Between Us.

He wrote that they “went to movies, went out to eat, hung out at parties, danced together,” and eventually became an official couple. But Lopez admitted to being unfaithful, writing, “I thought that being loyal to Tiffani was the right thing to do. But I can’t say that I was capable at that age of following through on my noble intentions.”

Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling

Just how serious was the Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars’ off-set romance? Well, it depends on who you ask.

“Brian Austin Green, I mean David and Donna, we were on camera together and we are off camera, something,” Spelling explained on the Woman on Top podcast in 2020. “[Brian] and I have different perspectives of what that was. There’s the young girl version and the young boy version, so two different versions.”

She continued, “It’s so funny, because to me, I was like, ‘Remember that summer we were together? You said ‘I love you’ and I said ‘I love you.’ And he remembers none of that. He was like, ‘No, we hooked up. We were friends.’ And I was like, ‘Cool, OK.’ Even now I’m like, ‘OK, cool.'”

During a test on 2015’s Celebrity Lie Detector, Spelling admitted she was “always in love” with Green, while also revealing she once kissed Luke Perry and had a summer fling with Jason Priestley. (Priestley’s response? “I’m not getting into this… It’s nobody’s business… Either way…,” he tweeted at the time.)

Melissa Joan Hart and Ryan Reynolds

Long before he married Blake Lively, the Deadpool star made out with the ’90s TV icon after they co-starred in the 1996 TV movie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

In her 2013 memoir, Melissa Explains It All: Tales from My Abnormally Normal Life, the actress revealed Reynolds gifted her with a watch on his final day of filming as Seth, Sabrina’s crush. So, naturally, the co-stars ended up kissing in her hotel room.

“I remember that his lips were pretty wonderful, plus he has these big hands and shoulders that completely swallowed my petite frame,” she wrote. “It was a terrific distraction from how strongly he smelled of hair product.”

    Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini

After years of rumors about a possible off-screen romance between the original American Idol finalists, Clarkson confirmed that the performers did date…just not while competing against each other

“We didn’t date during Idol, which everybody thought we were dating,” she explained during a 2015 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, going on to reveal they did “date a little bit” while filming their 2003 box office bomb, From Justin to Kelly.

She continued, “I think any two people who are thrown together that much [would eventually date]. ‘Timeless,’ you put that song on From Justin to Kelly—you can’t fight it!”

    Miley Cyrus and Lucas Till

While filming Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009, Cyrus quietly dated her on-screen love interest.

Till spilled the news about their two-month romance while promoting the Disney flick, telling an Atlanta radio station at the time, “I think it will make the movie a little better cause it was definitely real.”

    Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson

Following her 2010 split from Zac Efron, Hudgens briefly dated her Journey 2: The Mysterious Island co-star. But the news of their relationship only came out after their breakup…while promoting their movie.

During a joint appearance on an Australian morning show in 2012, the former couple were asked, “How long have you two been going out?”

Cue a pause that lasted a lifetime and a confused exchange of looks, before Hutcherson answered, making things even more awkward.

“We’re not. We were at one point, but she broke my heart…no, I’m just kidding,” he trailed off, to nervous laughter from Hudgens.
