Jade Roper clapped back at an Instagram follower after being criticized for letting her 3-year-old daughter Emmy wear makeup.

It all started last weekend when the Bachelor in Paradise alum posted pictures of her eldest child applying some eyeshadow and lipstick. According to screenshots re-shared by People, Jade noted her little one “wanted to get ready with me” and the reality TV star captured the moment.

“‘Good,’ she says as she smiles at herself in the eyeshadow mirror and shuts the compact,” Jade wrote, detailing Emmy’s reaction and adding laughing and heart-eye emojis.

But it wasn’t long before a social media user sent Jade a direct message scolding her for letting Emmy play with her makeup, writing the child is “great and beautiful as she is without any of that” and that “wearing makeup may subconsciously tell her that she needs it because she’s not beautiful enough.” Although, Jade didn’t waste any time in issuing a response.

“Mkk,” she replied, per the screenshot, later captioning the exchange, “Maybe we all should just become robots with zero emotions and zero interest or curiosities and have zero fun.”

Jade—who shares Emmy, as well as sons Brooks, 22 months, and Reed, 7 months, with husband and fellow Bachelor Nation member Tanner Tolbert—has spoken about parenting in the public eye before and the judgment she’s faced.

“Everyone will comment on every little thing, especially once you become a parent,” she said during a 2019 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “Because everybody feels like they know better than you.”

However, Jade said she tries to “take a step back” from the comments. “They may be meaning well; they may be not,” she continued. “But in the end, it’s my family. I know what’s best for my family. I know what’s best for my child, and I’m going to listen to my mother intuition. And there may be something that’s good advice that somebody has said about me. And I will look that up and will, like, take that for what it is. But ultimately, I’ve just had to learn to, like, not get defensive because the mommy bear will come out, especially when it’s your kid.”

Social media personality Kate Hudson and fiancé Chance Moore are grieving the loss of their 2-year-old daughter after she passed away on Father’s Day.

Kate, who had included fans on Eliza Adalynn‘s health journey through the viral TikTok account Hey Eliza, posted to Instagram on Monday, June 21 that the child had died the day prior after battling cancer. Eliza was born in August 2018 and had been diagnosed at 10 months of age with a rare form of cancer known as rhabdoid tumor.

“My sweet baby girl,” Kate wrote. “I don’t know how we will go on without you. I know we promised you we would we brave, just like you. But we are broken. Even though we know you are no longer suffering or in pain or frustrated with what life had become.”

She continued, “I thought that because we knew you were dying, that your death would not feel so sudden. But it did. I wasn’t ready to see what I saw. I woke up this morning, still half asleep, and reached for your hand. But you were not there. You left last night.”

According to the fundraiser page, she had been given just weeks to live at that point, and Chance wrote that the family felt “blindsided” by the cancer’s rapid progression.

Kate concluded her Instagram post with, “I want to believe I will wake up from this nightmare and you will be there holding our hands. Telling us it was just a bad dream.”

On Friday, June 4, influencer and blogger Terah Belle Jones broke the news to her Instagram followers that 5-year-old Indy Llew Jones had passed away following a battle with cancer.

“Our beautiful girl is free,” she captioned a photo of Indy, who lived with Down syndrome and was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. “She transitioned last night in the blink of an eye, in her mommies arms with daddy right beside her. She opened her big brown eyes and looked directly into mine, as she took her last breath at 11:11. A time of angels & a time for mommy.”

Terah went on to describe Indy’s final hours, writing that she “ate her favorite soup, sipped her coconut water, had us laughing through tears as she told us all the things she wanted to do that day.”

“Indy was in control,” Terah continued. “She left in her own special way. It happened fast. It was peaceful. And it was hard. I am so, so proud of her.”

Terah and her husband, Brian Jones, have shared Indy’s journey with their close to 260,000 Instagram followers. Their eldest daughter was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare disorder that can progress to leukemia four years ago.

Unfortunately, after Indy’s cancer went into remission twice, her mom confirmed in an April 2021 Instagram post that she had developed leukemia.

In the weeks that followed, the family of four brought Indy home from the hospital and cherished every moment together, including celebrating her fifth birthday.

Terah concluded her post by thanking their followers for “loving our little girl.”

“I have never known this kind of pain but I’ve also never known this kind of triumph,” she wrote. “My Indy Llew has changed the world… Indy Llew, we love you baby girl. So so much.”

  • Retired NFL tight end Greg Olsen‘s 8-year-old son TJ is recovering in a North Carolina hospital after undergoing a heart transplant.

On Friday, June 4, the athlete and Fox Sports sportscaster announced on Instagram that a donor match was found. Olsen shared a photo of himself and wife Kara standing on either side of their son, one of their three children and a twin, and holding his hands as he sat grinning on a bed in a hallway at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Today is a day of mixed emotions. A day we have prayed for has arrived,” he wrote. “We were alerted last night that there was a donor match for TJ to receive his heart transplant. Walking our little boy, with tears of hope and fear in our eyes, was one of the toughest moments of our lives. We ask for everyone’s prayers for TJ and his amazing team of doctors and nurses. TJ has a long road ahead of him but today is a huge step forward. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the outpouring of support through this entire journey. The Olsen Family. #playfortj”

Hours later, Olsen shared an update. “To our generous angel donor, we don’t know who you are or where you lived,” he wrote. “But know that bc of your selflessness, our son TJ will have a chance at life. We pray your family finds peace and maybe one day our paths shall cross.

Olsen continued, “TJ still has a long road to recovery. We’re anxious for him to wake up and tell him we love him. Today was a huge step forward for him and we’re going to enjoy tonight while we have it.”

The athlete, who played for the Chicago Bears, the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks before retiring earlier this year, and Kara welcomed TJ, whose full name is Trent Jerry, and his twin sister Talbot, who joined their eldest son Tate, now 10. TJ was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a rare congenital heart condition in which the left side of the heart cannot properly pump blood to the body, and had undergone three surgeries since birth. In late May, he was hospitalized again and then placed on the heart transplant list.

“As many of you know, our son TJ has faced serious heart issues since birth,” Olsen wrote on Instagram in May. “TJ has already undergone 3 open heart surgeries and has survived with a modified heart for his first 8 years. Unfortunately, it seems his heart is reaching its end. We are currently working through the process to determine our next steps, which ultimately could lead to a heart transplant.”

He continued, “TJ has been a fighter since birth. We are going to get through this as a family and be better off as a result of this experience.”

Don’t expect a duet between Ricky Martin and his 2-year-old daughter anytime soon, along the lines of the one Pink and daughter Willow recently debuted.

The 49-year-old “Shake Your Bon-Bon” vocalist visits The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, June 7, as seen in preview footage. During the sit-down, host Ellen DeGeneres asked about daughter Lucía, who Ricky and husband Jwan Yosef welcomed in December 2018

“I have one little girl that has two daddies and three brothers—she’s 2 years old—and she knows it,” he shared with a big smile. “She knows it. She doesn’t snap fingers yet, but she’s about to.”

Ellen asked if this meant that the little girl is the boss of the household, and the “She Bangs” singer was quick to agree. Ricky and Jwan are also parents to 12-year-old twins Valentino and Matteo, and 19-month-old son Renn

“She runs the house,” the American Crime Story actor continued. “The other day—she loved Cocomelon, so I’m singing with her in Cocomelon. And she goes, ‘No, no, Daddy—no, stop. Stop, stop, stop.’ And I’m like, ‘Let me sing, I want to sing.’ ‘No, no, Daddy. No, no, no, no.'”

He continued, “So she doesn’t let me sing! And this is serious business. She doesn’t let me sing.” He then started laughing as he reiterated, “She doesn’t let me sing!”

Ellen then asked if the twins are willing to sing with him, and he replied that they’re actually looking forward to his upcoming tour planned for September, given that they used to join him on the road in years past.

“Yeah, they don’t have issues,” he shared. “Actually, the big ones are telling me, ‘Come on, Dad. When are we going on the road? When are we gonna do this?’ They’re really looking forward to it.”
