Bachelor Nation's Ashley Iaconetti Weighs in on Katie's "Harsh" Thomas SendOff

Bachelor Nation's Ashley Iaconetti Weighs in on Katie's "Harsh" Thomas SendOff

  • Bachelor in Paradise alum Ashley Iaconetti dishes on Bachelorette star Katie Thurston's intense farewell to cunning contestant Thomas. Watch here.
  • Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Bachelorette star Katie Thurston didn’t hold back when bidding farewell to contestant Thomas on last night’s episode, which aired June 28. “Your Bachelor audition ends tonight, so get out,” Katie clapped back after calling Thomas “selfish, unkind and a liar.”

Now, Bachelor Nation fan favorite Ashley Iaconetti weighs in on all the Bachelorette drama exclusively on E! News’ Daily Pop

“I could not believe that goodbye,” Ashley I. revealed on Tuesday, June 29. “That was ruthless.”

Katie definitely has garnered fans with her no-nonsense approach to the ABC dating reality series. “I appreciate Katie in the way that she does not deal with B.S.,” Ashley I. continued. “I love that she’s cutting the weeds like that, every week. If there’s any question about a guy, she says goodbye.”

Yet, Ashley I. does have one note for Katie dumping Thomas: “However, I thought that was extra,” she admitted. “That was too harsh, because every guy in that house has had the thought that he could be the future Bachelor.”

As for contestant Mike, this season’s Virgin, Ashley can relate to his big reveal on-screen. “I had such a flood of emotions during that scene,” Ashley  explained. “I had so much nerves, so much anxiety for him, but man, did he carry himself with so much grace…He became kind of a stud muffin there, the way that he was so romantic in explaining it.”

Colton Underwood Slams Bachelor Nation While Addressing PPP Loan Controversy: "I Don’t Fk With Them"

  • According to ProPublica and FederalPay.org records, Colton Underwood’s nonprofit received an $11,355 loan amid the coronavirus pandemic. But he wants you to know it’s not what you think.
  • Watch: Colton Underwood Calls Out “Bachelor” Franchise

Colton Underwood isn’t beating around the rose bush on this one: He personally didn’t receive a Paycheck Protection Program loan.

According to records from ProPublica and FederalPay.org, several Bachelor alums received PPP loans given to small business owners to fund payroll costs and benefits amid the coronavirus pandemic. And while his Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation—a nonprofit that supports people living with cystic fibrosis—did pick up an $11,355 loan, he says that check wasn’t going into his pocket.

“Let me save you the clickbait headline,” he wrote on Instagram Stories June 28. “My nonprofit filed for a PPP because we cancelled our charity events for this year. We help people living with CF. I don’t make a dime from my nonprofit…please stop lumping me in with the bachelor. I don’t f–k with them anymore, they don’t f–k with me. Point blank. Thanks.”

Colton isn’t the only star from the franchise who is addressing the PPP loans.

According to ProPublica and FederalPay.org records, Tayshia Adams, who is currently hosting Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette, received a $20,833 PPP loan for eponymous LLC payroll.

“As a business owner, television and podcast host, and brand ambassador, Tayshia obtained a PPP Loan that enabled her to hire an employee (someone who was previously unemployed), to whom she offers market-based pay and benefits,” her rep told E! News. “Since exhausting the PPP Loan funds, but in light of the growing economy, Tayshia has committed to retaining her employee for the foreseeable future.”

The records also show Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham‘s LLC “Instagram Husband” obtained a $20,830 PPP loan for payroll, Evan Bass received $20,832 for his physician practice’s payroll and that Dale Moss applied for a $20,833 PPP loan but that the fund was not disbursed.

E! News reached out to Arie, Lauren, Evan and Dale but did not receive any comment.

Tayshia Adams, Colton Underwood and More Bachelor Nation Stars Received $20,000 PPP Loans

Tayshia Adams, Colton Underwood and More Bachelor Nation Stars Received $20,000 PPP Loans

  • Tayshia Adams, Colton Underwood and more reality TV stars have spoken out after facing criticism for receiving PPP loans amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
  • Watch: Tayshia Adams & Kaitlyn Bristowe Talk Hosting “The Bachelorette”

Tayshia Adams, Colton Underwood and more Bachelor Nation stars are explaining why they received Paycheck Protection Program loans during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Small Business Association, the PPP loans are given to small business owners to ensure they’re able to retain employees and cover the costs incurred by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. These loans are offered to independent contractors and self-employed persons, which technically includes reality stars and influencers, who list their work as Independent Artists, Writers and Performers.

Recently, sleuths on The Bachelor subReddit discovered several reality stars from Bachelor Nation applied for or received PPP loans of at least $10,000. E! News independently confirmed by this information by reviewing ProPublica and FederalPay.org’s online databases.

In January, Tayshia, who is currently co-hosting Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette, received a loan of $20,833 through the LLC Tayshia Adams Media. In a statement to E! News, the Newport Beach resident’s rep explained, “As a business owner, television and podcast host, and brand ambassador, Tayshia obtained a PPP Loan that enabled her to hire an employee (someone who was previously unemployed), to whom she offers market-based pay and benefits.”

Her rep continued, “Since exhausting the PPP Loan funds, but in light of the growing economy, Tayshia has committed to retaining her employee for the foreseeable future.”

Likewise, Colton’s eponymous non-profit organization collected $11,355 in April 2020. However, the reality star’s rep explained, “Colton’s nonprofit filed for the PPP loan after their annual fundraising events were cancelled due to COVID. None of the PPP went directly to Colton. In fact, Colton has never received any form of payment from the foundation, all of the proceeds go directly to people living cystic fibrosis.”

Additionally, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham, who recently welcomed twins and bought a vacation home in Hawaii this year, obtained a PPP loan of $20,830 in June 2020 through an LLC called “Instagram Husband.” Bachelor in Paradise alum Evan Bass secured $20,832.00 for his physicians practice in April 2020.

Dale Moss, who appeared on Clare Crawley‘s season of The Bachelorette, applied for a loan of $20,833, but ProPublica and FederalPay.org’s database shows the fund was not disbursed.

Arie, Lauren, Evan and Dale declined to comment on this story when contacted by E! News.

Numerous people on social media expressed dismay over the reality stars’ borrowing, including Bachelor Nation’s Nick Viall. The Viall Files podcast host tweeted, “What’s legal isn’t always right. What’s illegal isn’t always wrong. Don’t know everyone’s situation, but my gut tells any alum applying for a PPP is both savvy and s–tty. Interesting debate.”

Bachelor Nation reality stars are not the only ones who have requested government assistance since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to NBC News, NFL star Tom Brady‘s sports performance and nutrition company, TB12, obtained a loan of $960,855 in April 2020. Additionally, NBC News reported artist Jeff Koons received a loan of up to $2 million.

Bachelor Nation's Erica Rose Recalls Having Eggs Thrown at Her During "Traumatic" Challenge

Bachelor Nation's Erica Rose Recalls Having Eggs Thrown at Her During "Traumatic" Challenge

  • In 2011, Bachelor alum Erica Rose competed on the second season of Bachelor Pad—and all these years later, she still remembers this painful challenge.
  • Watch: Look Back at the First Pilot on “The Bachelor,” Jake Pavelka

A decade later, Erica Rose has not forgotten this Bachelor Pad challenge—and for good reason.

It’s been 15 years since the Texas native rose to fame as a contestant vying for Lorenzo Borghese‘s love on the ninth season of The Bachelor in 2006. After her elimination, Rose headed to the second season of Bachelor in Paradise‘s predecessorBachelor Pad, appearing alongside Bachelor Nation stars like Jake Pavelka, Michelle Money, Vienna Girardi and the late Gia Allemand

During an appearance on the Unpopular with Jacques Peterson podcast, Rose recalled a notable challenge she said was both emotionally traumatic and physically hurtful: “Target on Your Back.” The challenge involved the men and then the women lining up blindfolded in either swim trunks or bikinis. With their backs turned, each member of the other group was given a question and tasked with answering by throwing a paint-filled egg at whichever contestant was their answer to the question. They received a point if they hit their target and the person with the most points won.

In an ABC clip below, fans can watch as both the men and women were tasked with targeting the contestant they were “least attracted to.” At one point, former host Chris Harrison quipped, “Erica taking a beating down here.”

And she was. “Emotionally, yeah, it was traumatic, but physically, that f–king hurt,” she said, recalling how hard the season’s co-winner Michael Stagliano threw one at her. “They cut some of it down, but I walked off and I was like I don’t want to do this anymore. This is abusive. It’s not just my feelings are hurt, but that f–king hurt.”

Ultimately, Rose claimed Harrison told her she would be eliminated if she did not finish the challenge. “They did tell the guys you can’t throw it this hard,” she noted. “The point of the game wasn’t to injure people. It was to humiliate them, I guess.”

E! News has reached out to ABC and Harrison’s rep for comment.

Bachelor Nation's Jade Roper Claps Back at Criticism Over Letting 3YearOld Daughter Wear Makeup

Bachelor Nation's Jade Roper Claps Back at Criticism Over Letting 3YearOld Daughter Wear Makeup

  • Bachelor in Paradise alum Jade Roper didn't waste any time issuing a response after a follower criticized her for letting her 3-year-old daughter Emmy play with makeup.
  • Jade Roper Tolbert, DaughterJamie McCarthy/Getty Images, Instagram

Jade Roper clapped back at an Instagram follower after being criticized for letting her 3-year-old daughter Emmy wear makeup.

It all started last weekend when the Bachelor in Paradise alum posted pictures of her eldest child applying some eyeshadow and lipstick. According to screenshots re-shared by People, Jade noted her little one “wanted to get ready with me” and the reality TV star captured the moment.

“‘Good,’ she says as she smiles at herself in the eyeshadow mirror and shuts the compact,” Jade wrote, detailing Emmy’s reaction and adding laughing and heart-eye emojis.

But it wasn’t long before a social media user sent Jade a direct message scolding her for letting Emmy play with her makeup, writing the child is “great and beautiful as she is without any of that” and that “wearing makeup may subconsciously tell her that she needs it because she’s not beautiful enough.” Although, Jade didn’t waste any time in issuing a response.

“Mkk,” she replied, per the screenshot, later captioning the exchange, “Maybe we all should just become robots with zero emotions and zero interest or curiosities and have zero fun.”

Jade—who shares Emmy, as well as sons Brooks, 22 months, and Reed, 7 months, with husband and fellow Bachelor Nation member Tanner Tolbert—has spoken about parenting in the public eye before and the judgment she’s faced.

“Everyone will comment on every little thing, especially once you become a parent,” she said during a 2019 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “Because everybody feels like they know better than you.”

However, Jade said she tries to “take a step back” from the comments. “They may be meaning well; they may be not,” she continued. “But in the end, it’s my family. I know what’s best for my family. I know what’s best for my child, and I’m going to listen to my mother intuition. And there may be something that’s good advice that somebody has said about me. And I will look that up and will, like, take that for what it is. But ultimately, I’ve just had to learn to, like, not get defensive because the mommy bear will come out, especially when it’s your kid.”

“Will you accept this burp cloth?” is not nearly as catchy as “Will you accept this rose?” but it is a part of Lauren and Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s post-Bachelor reality. The couple has a daughter, Alessi, who’s 2 years old. Now, they are parents of three. Lauren just gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Prior to their babies’ arrival, the pair went live on Amazon to share their hospital bag essentials.

Lauren shared her go-to items for self-care, newborn care, and Arie shared his insights as well. Keep on scrolling to see their packing list and why their family adores these items from Amazon.

Organic Nipple Butter Breastfeeding Cream by Earth Mama

Lauren says this cream is “definitely something I think you should have because when you’re breastfeeding, chapping and all that is just not fun. So, you want to use this to prevent any kind of dryness. Chapping is bad and it just gets worse, so I recommend having some of this on hand.”

Medela Contact Nipple Shield for Breastfeeding

Lauren confessed, “Breastfeeding was something I really struggled with in the beginning. It didn’t really come as naturally for me as I thought it would. So, I bought these things. These are nipple covers.” Arie interjected, “Buy a bunch because you’re gonna lose some.” Lauren added, “These are nice because it helps the baby latch a little bit better if you guys are having any issues with that.”

    Burp Cloths 6 Pack

“Definitely have some burp cloths on hand,” Lauren advised. These are available in multiple colors and patterns.

Comotomo Baby Bottle, Green, 5 Ounce (2 Count)

Lauren recalled, “I used these for Alessi. In the hospital, the bottles they gave me for her were these tiny little bird feeder bottles. These bottles are great because they’re shaped like a boob, so I think it’s easier for babies to recognize this as food. I put them in [my hospital bag] because when I first had Alessi I wasn’t producing milk right away and I chose to give her formula those first few days while the milk was coming in. I just didn’t want her to be hungry, so I think it’s helpful to have a bottle on hand that you can use.”

These bottles have received 22,972 5-star reviews (and counting) from Amazon customers. The bottles also come in pink.

Tucks Md Cool Hemorrhoid Pad, 100 Count

Lauren joked, “Something else very sexy are the Tucks pads.” She went on to explain, “This is something that the hospital should give you, but I wanted to have extra in my bag just in case. They’re medicated cooling pads with witch hazel. You put it in your underwear. If you deliver vaginally, you just put these in your pants and it’s very nice.” Lauren isn’t the only Amazon customer who relies on these. They received 25,700+ 5-star reviews.

FridaBaby Frida Mom Disposable Postpartum Underwear (Without pad)- 8 count

“All my friends who have had babies recommended these, so I decided to put them in my hospital bag,” Lauren shared.

The reality TV alum shared, “They’re great because they’re kind of like the mesh underwear the hospital will give you and you can out your [witch hazel] pads in there and if you want to throw them away you just can after one use. Those are great.”

    CeraVe Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths

“Something that’s really helpful to have is makeup remover cloths or just something to wipe your face with because you’re stuck in bed and if you have a C-section it may not be comfortable to lean over the sink to wash your face. I recommend having some makeup remover cloths or wipes in there,” Lauren said.

MIGHTY BLISS Large Electric Heating Pad for Back Pain and Cramps Relief -Extra Large

Lauren admitted, “This is a little bit extra” before explaining, “This would be really helpful, especially after you get an epidural. For me, that was more painful than childbirth.”

This is Amazon’s number one best-selling heating pad and it’s received 55,00+ 5-star reviews.

WaterWipes Super Value Box – Pack of 12, Total 720 Wipes

Lauren recalled, “I used these with Alessi when she was a newborn and they are great. There’s not a lot of alcohol or chemicals in these. They’re 99% water, I think. They’re gentle on their little newborn bottoms.”

LYSIAN Ultra Soft Green Foam Earplugs 60 Pairs

Arie clarified, “These are handy to have alternating sleep schedules while feeding the baby, not while waiting for the baby to be born,” explaining, “We took shifts with Alessi because it was so exhausting, so one [of us] slept and that’s what earplugs would be useful for.”

    Comfy Cubs Muslin Swaddle Blankets

Swaddle blankets. They provide those for you at the hospital, but it’s good to have your own,” Arie said. Lauren chimed in with “The ones at the hospital were kind of scratchy and not as comfortable.”

HALO Sleepsack Plush Dot Velboa Swaddle

Arie adores using this swaddle “because you can Velcro them in. It’s a lot easier and quicker.” Lauren added, “This is actually a younger baby version of the one that we use now with Alessi.” It’s also available in blue.

Pipette Baby Cream to Powder, Keep Baby’s Skin Happy, Talc-Free Baby Powder, Fragrance Free

Lauren promised, “I use this with Alessi and it works so good.” She went on to reveal, “I had a really hard time finding a diaper rash cream that worked well,” with Arie confirming, “We went through a ton of products.” Lauren loves this cream because “it’s non-toxic, talc-free, and fragrance-free. It’s very gentle.”

The Honest Company Diapers – Newborn, Size 0: 128 Count

“These are the diapers that we use at home,” Arie shared. Lauren said, “I will get preemie diapers too [from the same brand] just because twins are usually smaller.”

    Ugg Women’s Oh Yeah Slipper

Lauren gushed, “I love all the Ugg slippers. They’re so comfortable. I have many different pairs in my closet.”

    Little Me Boys’ Blanket

“We got blankets for the twins. We are having a boy and a girl, so we got a blue and a pink one. One side is really soft and the other side is silk,” Lauren shared.

    Milk Snob Cover Heather Stripe

“If you’re a new parent, or haven’t been a parent in a long time, this is so amazing. I love these things,” Lauren gushed.

Lauren continued, “This is the Milk Snob cover. This goes over the car seat and the handle pops out through so you can hold and your baby is covered. They can sleep in there in peace. It also turns into a nursing cover. You can put this over your head and then put the baby under here and nurse them. You need one of those.”

Lucky Love Baby Gown Newborn, Knotted Infant Sleeper for Baby Girl and Boy

“These are little newborn gowns. So, you just put their arms through them and then the bottom is just two pieces of fabric that you can tie together. You can tie it depending on how big or small your baby is and they’re great because you don’t have to deal with buttons or snaps to change diapers. We had these on Alessi every night for weeks,” Lauren said.

LUOSIKE iPhone Charger 10 ft Cable with Wall Plug (4 Pack)

“This is kind of a crucial one,” Arie teased. Lauren added, “I think these are 10-feet long. I got us both really long cell phone chargers so we can plug them into a wall wherever we are in the hospital room.”

    Ugg Women’s Henning Sleep Dress

“I posted a picture in this recently and everyone was asking me where it was from,” Lauren recalled. She insisted, “These are the softest nightgowns ever. They are Ugg nightgowns and I also have four others in different colors. They’re really nice and they’re just so comfortable. There’s buttons so you can nurse them easily. They’re great.

Klorane Dry Shampoo Powder with Oat Milk, Non-Aerosol Formula, Eco-friendly Loose Powder, Paraben & Sulfate-Free

Lauren shared, “I like this because it’s made with oat milk. You squeeze it and the powder comes out. It’s not an aerosol. It works very well and it doesn’t turn your hair white.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Women Heathered Socks (Set of 2)

“I’ve got some fuzzy socks because these are definitely a necessity. Get some comfy socks to put in your bag,” Lauren advised.

    Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

“This is the best lip mask ever. You guys have to get this. I got two of them to take with me. I put it on every night,” Lauren shared.

Bravo stars Drew Sidora and Ariana Madix also declared their love for the lip product recently.

HUSKARY Women’s Summer Maxi Dress Casual Loose Pockets

“I wore this in one of our YouTubes recently. It’s just a very comfy maxi dress. It’s cotton, very lightweight, and good for wearing home from the hospital. You might have a bit of a belly still and lots of underwear, so you’re not gonna want to wear anything tight.”

Newborn Baby Boy & Girl Socks by Nurses Choice- 6 Pairs

“These are newborn socks. They are good to have at the hospital because it’s kind of cold in there.” There are multiple colors to choose from.
