Ben Affleck‘s Father’s Day celebration included a brief visit from Jennifer Garner.

The Oscar winner spent time with his family on Sunday, June 20, including his and Garner’s three kids: Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9. “Ben spent Father’s Day with his mom, Chris, and his kids at his house,” an eyewitness tells E! News. “In the afternoon, Jennifer Garner dropped off their son Sam to hang out with Ben. Sam was excited to be there and ran inside.”

Despite the former couple’s split, it seems all is well between the families. “Jen gave Chris Affleck a hug and kiss,” the source notes. “They all seemed very cordial and happy to see each other. It looked like Ben had a nice low-key Father’s Day at home with his family.”

While Affleck spent the weekend out of the spotlight, his personal life has been making headlines recently, given his rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez. In fact, the Argo director recently proved how serious their relationship really is after he was spotted spending time with Lopez’s 13-year-old twins Max and Emme.

“Ben and Jen sat next to each other and Max and Emme were on each side of them,” an eyewitness told E! News of the June 13 outing to celebrate Lopez’s sister Linda‘s birthday. “Ben was grinning ear to ear. He sipped a diet coke and was laughing across the table with everyone. He fit in well and everyone seemed to love having him around.”

Another source also shared more insight on Affleck’s relationship with the “On the Floor” singer’s family. “Her kids really like Ben and think he’s funny and fun to be around,” the insider told E! News. “He’s totally won the family over with his charm.”

As for how Affleck’s ex Garner feels about his rekindled romance with Lopez, a source close to the Alias alum told E! News she just hopes he puts his kids first. “She continues to focus on her kids and that is her priority. When the kids are with Ben, she hopes that is his priority too,” the insider explained. “What he does the rest of the time is not her problem. She has done everything she can to foster great relationships between Ben and the kids. But she won’t get involved with who he dates or his private life.”

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is celebrating the holiday for the first time as a dad, having welcomed daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes with fiancée Brittany Matthews back in February. On Sunday, June 20, the couple shared rare and adorable photos of their 4-month-old baby girl.

“Happy 1st Fathers Day!!!” Brittany, 25, wrote on Instagram, alongside a collection of family pics. “We love you [red heart emoji].”

Patrick, 25, commented on the post with seven red heart emojis.

On his Instagram Story, the NFL star shared one of the pics from Brittany’s post, commenting with more red heart emojis. The photo he chose shows him sitting in a pool and cradling little Sterling, who is dressed adorably in a pink leopard-print swimsuit and is also sporting pink sunglasses on her head. 

Another photo from Brittany’s Father’s Day tribute shows the baby resting on her dad as he lays on a couch and kisses her head. In a couple of other pics, Patrick holds Sterling while on a private jet.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, June 20, the Grammy winner marked Father’s Day 2021 with a sweet post about how special it’s been to become a dad. Additionally, he gushed over his two sons, Silas, 6, and Phineas, 12 months, who he shares with his wife, Jessica Biel.

“Being a dad is better than I ever could have imagined,” Justin began his caption. “Thankful to my dads and my grandfathers for leading the way, making the sacrifices for me to live out my dreams, and for teaching me that REAL LIFE happens in all the little moments. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!!!”

The “SexyBack” singer also posted a collage of images that captured behind-the-scenes moments with his sons. In one photo, Justin even showed off his youngest Phineas, which marks the first time he’s shared a snapshot of his little one.

“I’m spending a lot of time at home on Zooms in my apartment,” she told Dax Shepard on the June 14 episode of the Armchair Expert podcast. “Hanging with my baby, changing diapers, doing nap time.” 

The mom of two even dished on secretly welcoming Phineas last summer amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The couple didn’t confirm the baby news until January 2021.

“I had, like, a secret COVID baby,” Jessica explained. “It wasn’t like it was supposed to be a secret. It was just COVID happened, and then I went to Montana with my family and never left.”

She also opened up about expanding her family, sharing, “Someone said to me, ‘Two is like having a thousand.’ And that’s exactly what it feels like. The balance of everything is very different and super hard. But I agree. I mean, it’s amazing.”

“It’s so interesting. It’s so funny,” she added. “The conversations I’m having now with my 6-year-old is so cool. He’s a real person saying the funniest stuff and he’s so sensitive and tender. It’s just so interesting to see that part of it happen and the little one is just cute as hell.”

In an exclusive interview with E! News, country singer Brett Young explained how fatherhood inspired his new music and upcoming children’s book.

In case you didn’t know, Brett Young is crazy about fatherhood.

As the proud dad to 19-month-old daughter Presley Elizabeth, the country singer has found himself falling in love with Disney movies and children’s books all over again. And with another baby girl on the way later this summer, Brett and his wife Taylor Mills Young have a lot to look forward to.

“My favorite thing about being a dad has actually been watching Presley experience the world,” Brett exclusively shared with E! News ahead of Father’s Day weekend. “I feel like I didn’t know how jaded I was becoming with everyday things whether it be nature or a bird flying by. The things you get used to or see so many times like, oh there’s a bird, but she’s like cracking up and chasing it across the sky.”

The musician added, “Seeing the world through a 1-year-old’s eyes and watching the joy they get from the things I didn’t even realize I was taking for granted.” 

That joy and excitement for life can be heard in his new collection of music available now called Weekends Look a Little Different These Days.

Country Music Dads’ Cutest Fatherhood Moments

The fresh tracks including “Lady” and “Not Yet” explore love, family, loss and everything in between. And with Brett serving as a co-writer on all eight songs, fans will be allowed to get a look inside his life today.

“If I wasn’t careful, fatherhood would have inspired all of them and we would have had a lullaby record,” Brett joked. “In terms of the song writing, it put me in a position where I had to actually stretch myself pretty far and not just write about what today was like or what I’m feeling right now. It made me realize that there was a huge audience of people who had fallen in love with the first record, specifically songs like ‘Mercy’ where it broke their heart.”

The Orange County, Calif., native continued, “I don’t want those people to stop being a fan because the new record is about blissful family life. It stretched me as a writer in a really good way, but it also allowed me to explore a completely new fan base of people and parents because I didn’t have those songs either.” 

While the topics of his songs may be changing, one thing remains the same: Brett’s faith is still an influence on the tracks he makes. In fact, he wants music fans of all ages to feel comfortable singing along to his hits.

“I’ve never once seen the necessity for art to cross that PG line in order to be art. If you have something interesting to say, you can say it for everybody,” he explained. “You don’t need to say it to the NC-17 crowd and I’ve never understood why that was necessary. I don’t draw a hard line for myself about how I go enjoy stuff like that. However, I don’t want a 35-year-old woman to not feel comfortable bringing her 12-year-old daughter to the same concert.”

He continued, “They should be able to have a mother-daughter night and if I start having questionable content and lyrics in my music, all of a sudden, she’s not bringing her daughter and they can’t have that experience together and I feel like, if you’re a good enough writer, you can make it acceptable for everybody and I’ve always tried to walk that line.”

Speaking of concerts, Brett is just one of the many country artists looking forward to being back on the road this fall. Before launching The Weekends tour with Maddie & Tae, Ryan Hurd and Filmore, the 40-year-old Nashville resident will host a special Labor Day weekend music festival in Palm Springs, Calif., called Caliville Weekend.

While he is more than pumped to see fans in person again, Brett can’t help but admit it’s bittersweet knowing he will have a little less family time for a couple of months.

“I didn’t miss my daughter’s first steps. I didn’t miss her first words. There’s a very obvious silver lining to be at home for the past year and a half,” Brett shared.  I was very productive with my time. I made a record. I made a baby. I was home and I did it right, but I miss being on the road and I’m excited to get back out there.”

He’s also excited to turn one of the biggest hits of his career into a children’s book. Titled Love You, Little Lady, the kid-friendly project was a collaboration between Brett and his wife that resulted in a “cool legacy to leave to our kids.” Shop the book and items from Brett’s Caliville line below.

Brett’s debut children’s book shares the wonder of becoming a new parent and the passionate love dads and moms share for their children. “Our daughter was getting to the age where she wanted to read books all the time so it was a really fun process,” Brett shared with E! “The craziest thing was how natural she took to being a mom immediately: understanding what her child needed and understanding how to go about it, understanding how to manage her frustration and exhaustion and the grace that she had going about all of it,” he explained. “When they say, moms are superheroes, I feel like I got to watch that.”
