F9's Nathalie Emmanuel Reveals What Helped Her With Body Image Struggle

In an interview with Women’s Health, Nathalie Emmanuel opened up about her past struggle with her body image and revealed her process on gaining a more positive outlook.

The F9 star graced the cover of the July/August issue of Women’s Health and in an interview with the publication, the actress revealed she, at one point in time, struggled with her body image.
 
“You know how on Facebook it shows you a memory of yourself from six years ago or four years ago?” she said. “A picture came up on my phone, and I went, ‘I look so great!’ But I also remember that at the time [of that photo], I thought I was overweight and needed to do all these unhealthy things. We just beat ourselves up constantly, and we’re never perfect enough.”
 
Seeing the photo sparked a bit of a lightbulb moment for Nathalie, who realized that after years of negative self-talk and comparing herself to others, she wanted to change her mindset.

The actress went on to explain that wanted to shift her point of view on her body image—and for her, that meant redefining what wellness meant. Nathalie shared, “I had to change how I interacted with exercise and decide what I wanted to get from it.”

In addition to shifting her mindset and switching up her exercise routine, the Game of Thrones alum also revealed she adapted a vegan diet and continued to practice yoga to add to the change in her state of mind.
 
“What I love about yoga is there’s no pressure to be the best at it,” she said. “Even if you just lie on your mat for the hour and breathe with intention, you’re doing yoga.” The Fast & Furious star also revealed she began practicing yoga back when she was 18 and going through a tough time, sharing, “My mental health was deteriorating, and I took my first class in reaction to it.” So, although not necessarily a new addition to her routine, the star confirms that yoga remains instrumental for her overall wellness. 

While implementing various physical elements of diet and exercise and increasing her positive affirmations has helped the star change her view on her body image, the actress maintained that her mission is truly about striving to be the “stronger, better version of herself.”

Hailey and Justin Bieber are taking a romantic tour of Paris, and it appears a little lesson in politics is on the itinerary. 

The “Peaches” singer shared a photo of himself and his wife of two years posing next to the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at the president’s luxe Elysee Palace office on Monday, June 21. It’s known as the annual Fête de la Musique, or Music Day, in France.

For the occasion, Justin wore a grey suit, a white shirt with the top button popped, blue-trimmed Nike sneakers and a stack of necklaces. Hailey rocked strappy heels with a tan halter wrap dress, with her hair in a tight bun.

Justin didn’t caption the pic with any kind of explanation for his visit, and even his fans seemed surprised by the photo opp. One wrote in French, “I wasn’t expecting this one.” Another simply added, “#boss.”

Justin Bieber’s Biggest Accomplishments

It’s unclear why the couple paid a visit to the president of France, ahead of his re-election bid next year. In 2020, Hailey was vocal about voting in the U.S. presidential election but doesn’t often get involved in specific political issues.

Earlier in the day, the couple made the most of their Parisian vacation. Justin was seen enjoying a meal at the upscale Carette tea room with prime Eiffel Tower views, while sporting a casual grey hoodie and khakis. Meanwhile, Hails was spotted strolling the Avenue Montaigne in a lavender knit top, purple mini skirt and black loafers.

They appeared to reunite for shopping at the KITH store, making for a day packed with sight-seeing. 

The stars were seen in the same outfits when Biebs posted a pic of the couple to Instagram one hour after their political meet-and-greet. Justin and Hailey had their tongues-out in the carefree selfie.

After “being received” at the official Elysee Palace, the couple then enjoyed a “romantic” lunch date at the Dinand by Ferdi restaurant down the street, an eyewitness tells E! News.

Later, the Biebers changed into yet another ensemble for a night out. Their evening attire was a tale of two vibes, as the model donned an embellished pink gown, and the Drew House designer wore a smiley face hoodie from his own line. 

The eyewitness says they headed to dinner across the street, at Le Stresa near the high-fashion Champs-Élysées district.

Paris remains a favorite destination for the duo, with Hailey attending Paris Fashion Week in February 2020 before the worldwide coronavirus lockdown. 

She returned to the City of Light this year with her hubby for his 27th birthday in March. The “Lonely” musician was even photographed while performing on the roof of Paris’ Hotel de Crillon during the getaway in March.
